In 3/2 busbar schemes, where three breakers are connected in series, synchronizing voltage selection and transfer must be precise. The MSCR662A synchronizing voltage selection device has been widely field-proven:
It uses a high-performance microcontroller to evaluate breaker and disconnector position signals in real time.
It automatically selects the appropriate synchronizing voltage on each side of the breaker string.
Redundant hardware/software design prevents false operations and blocking logic protects against cross-voltage injection.
On the front panel, LEDs indicate breaker/disconnector positions and the selected synchronizing voltage.

Step 1: Understand LED Logic
Power-on self-test: After correct wiring, when powered up, all position LEDs flash for ~2 s as the device runs hardware/software self-checks. After this, the RUN indicator remains steady ON.
Abnormal flashing: If a position signal does not correspond to expected logic, the related LED begins flashing ~2 s after startup. This signals that the related circuit or signal path must be investigated.
Tip: Self-test flashing and fault flashing are sequential. Always wait 2 s after startup before judging whether flashing is abnormal.
Step 2: Common Causes
Misinterpretation: Startup self-test flashing mistaken for fault, leading to unnecessary shutdown.
Wiring error: Incorrect connection of digital inputs results in the device reading an illegal position.
Disconnector fault: The physical disconnector is in an undefined or intermediate position.
Voltage level mismatch: Input voltage not meeting rated requirements.
Step 3: Field Troubleshooting Checklist
Wiring integrity – Inspect terminals X3 (22 inputs) and X5-16 to ensure no loose, miswired, or mis-inserted connections.
Input voltage level – Measure with a multimeter to confirm that disconnector input signals reach rated voltage (avoid undervoltage misjudgment).
Auxiliary contact state – Verify that disconnector auxiliary contacts are correctly aligned with the intended operating position (not left in intermediate/illegal state).
Input logic pairing – Each disconnector position input must meet a strict 0/1 pair:
Self-test wait – After powering on, wait 2 s before judging abnormal flashing, to eliminate confusion with the startup test sequence.
