Q1. How do I choose between the different Auxiliary Relay series?

Use the circuit task as the first selection criterion. Choose UEG/A for general monostable signal isolation and contact multiplication; UEG/H for multi-contact interposing and contact expansion; UEG/C when the contact state must be retained without continuous coil power; UEG/F when anti-interference and high-burden performance are required; UEG/P for dedicated breaker anti-pumping logic; and the HPC family when the switching duty is beyond ordinary signal-level auxiliary-relay contacts.

Q2. What do contact codes such as 2H2D, 4H4D, or 6H mean?

In ODES relay notation, H indicates a normally-open contact and D indicates a normally-closed contact. Therefore, 2H2D means two normally-open plus two normally-closed contacts, while 6H means six normally-open contacts. The contact suffix does not by itself define coil voltage, contact rating, timing, or terminal arrangement, so those items must still be checked in the model manual.

Q3. Can one UEG series replace another if the contact count is the same?

Not automatically. UEG/A, UEG/C, UEG/F, and UEG/P have different operating architectures and circuit purposes. A correct replacement must match the functional task, coil/control voltage, pick-up and timing requirements, contact duty, reset behavior, terminal map, and installation dimensions - not only the number of NO/NC contacts.
