Breaker Management Devices
Modular breaker-control devices that integrate key auxiliary functions such as close/trip blocking, anti-pumping, three-phase inconsistency protection, energy-storage motor control, status indication, and fault outputs for medium- and high-voltage circuit-breaker control systems.
Product Capability
Integrates the most wiring-intensive breaker auxiliary-control tasks into standardized DIN-rail modules, helping turn scattered relay logic into clearer, configurable, and maintainable control functions.
-
Close/trip control and blocking integration: combines anti-pumping and blocking functions that are traditionally built from multiple auxiliary relays, reducing the number of external components and cross-wiring points.
-
Three-phase inconsistency protection: monitors pole-position consistency on independently operated breakers and provides delayed trip and/or alarm output when an abnormal mismatch persists beyond the configured criterion.
-
Energy-storage motor control: integrates motor drive, storage-state logic, timeout and stall protection, operating-count supervision, and alarm output for breaker spring-charging or hydraulic energy-storage mechanisms.
-
Visible commissioning interface: selected modules provide LED status indication, display-based parameter setting, fault-code display, and push-button operation so engineers can verify logic without tracing multiple discrete relays.
-
Modular cabinet integration: DIN 35 rail mounting and standardized terminal layouts support repeatable cabinet design, easier drawing reuse, simplified production, and faster replacement during maintenance.
-
Application scalability: ODES provides different functional generations and variants for low-change retrofit projects, modular new-build cabinets, and intelligent switchgear control systems requiring more status visibility or communication capability.
-
Electrical-system adaptability: product families support common control-supply classes used in breaker applications; the exact auxiliary voltage, output contact arrangement, alarm logic, width, and communication interface are selected by model and order code.
-
Harsh-duty design approach: breaker-control modules are intended for electrically and mechanically demanding switchgear environments where EMC immunity, vibration resistance, deterministic logic, and maintainability are critical.
Customer Value
Reduces engineering complexity and maintenance risk by replacing scattered auxiliary logic with defined breaker-control modules that are easier to select, wire, commission, diagnose, and replicate across projects.
-
Reduce wiring volume and commissioning time by consolidating anti-pumping, blocking, inconsistency timing, motor-control, and alarm functions into application-specific modules.
-
Improve circuit clarity by giving each breaker-control task a defined functional boundary, making drawings, FAT/SAT checks, and troubleshooting easier for engineering and maintenance teams.
-
Reduce nuisance operation risk by using dedicated timing, blocking, and protection logic designed for breaker auxiliary circuits rather than improvised combinations of general-purpose relays.
-
Improve on-site diagnostics through LED indicators, displays, fault codes, and parameter interfaces on selected models, allowing technicians to identify circuit status faster.
-
Support standardization across breaker types and cabinet variants with DIN-rail form factors, repeatable terminal philosophy, and configurable parameters instead of redesigning the entire circuit for each project.
-
Lower lifecycle maintenance cost because individual functional modules can be tested or replaced without rebuilding large sections of the original control logic.
-
Support both new-build and retrofit projects by offering modular control paths that can preserve existing circuit boundaries while reducing component count and future wiring changes.
Product Series
Product series are configured according to users' usage and configuration preferences.
PSME301 Series
Close / Trip & Blocking Module
Integrated breaker close/trip auxiliary-control module combining anti-pumping logic with two sets of low-gas-pressure blocking relays. ODES provides single-phase and three-phase versions for different breaker-control architectures.
PSME203A-V / PSME303 Series
Three-Phase Inconsistency Protection
Modules for detecting persistent A/B/C pole-position inconsistency on independently operated breakers. The current ODES breaker-management webpage identifies PSME203A-V as a representative product; PSME303 is the configurable modular version used for integrated delay, output, signal retention, and alarm functions.
